What:  The American Legion Auxiliary Junior Camp

When: June 3 – 8, 2018

Where: Christian Conference Center, Newton, Iowa

Who Can Attend:  Any Junior Auxiliary member age 8 to 18

Why:  To learn about the programs of the American Legion Auxiliary, to build self-esteem, learn leadership skills and have fun!

Campers are divided into cabins, depending on their age.  Their daily routine will be flag raising and lowering ceremony and proper flag etiquette, arts and crafts, speakers and presentations that will motivate, inform and provide a hands on learning experience.  Other camp activities include movie night with popcorn, a bonfire with s’mores, karaoke, talent show, camp songs, candlelight ceremony and lots of laughter and fun.

Camp fee is $150.00 due to Department office by April 1, 2018.  This fee includes the camp T-shirt.  Late forms and fees may cause a Junior to miss out on attending camp.

If you would like to be a camper or a counselor, go to click on forms after the first of the year.

If you have any ideas on presentations, considering volunteering or wanting to make a donation, please let us know.

Department Junior Convention will be held on Friday morning, June 8, 2018.
