Hello American Legion Family
My name is Judy Ring. I am honored to be your Department of Iowa President for the 2026-2027 year. I joined the ALA through my husband Brian’s service. I come from a large family of 13 children, and 5 of my 9 brothers served. Brian and I have been married for 42 years. We have 3 children,10 grand children and 1 Rottweiler named J.D. I am from Glenwood, which is located in the 7th District, and I am proud to be the only the second Department President from the 7th District. Veterans and their families are part of my heart and soul. I have held positions at the unit, county, district, and Department levels.
I look forward to not only meeting new people, but getting to know members on a more personal level. I look forward to sharing in your successes and helping you through your struggles. Do not hesitate to call or email me any time.
